Cabo

Cabo is a destination many that people frequent for some good R&R.  Sun, sand, water, and an ocean breeze, what more could a person desire?

We hopped on a short two-and-a-half hour flight from San Francisco to Los Cabos airport and were on vacation just like that. We arrived at our all-inclusive resort, Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos, and found ourselves by the beach immediately.  Cabo isn't known for it's swimmable beaches, so it was a nice surprise finding out that the strip of beach in front of our resort was swimmable.

We spent the majority of our 5 days in Cabo laying on the beach doing not doing anything.  Pickup beach volleyball games and quick trips to cool off in the ocean was how we spent most of our time.  They say, "don't drink the water in Mexico." Wasn't a problem for me. For 5 days, I lived with a tropical drink in hand...laying by the water, not drinking it.

We arrived just in time for the New Year holiday and the New Year's Eve Celebration. As the clock struck midnight to ring in 2017, the fireworks from different resorts exploded over the Pacific up and down the entire coastline.

The highlight of this trip to Cabo was driving our ATV's through Mexico's dessert and beach terrain. We purchased a two-hour long tour that took us up the Baja California coastline and into the dusty desert of Mexico passing the giant cacti left and right.

With Cabo being such a short flight away from home, we'll be back to get more of that Mexican sunshine soon.

With love,
